40 New Jobs Created In Office Supply Distribution

40 new jobs will be created with the opening of Safco Products Company's new East Coast distribution facility. The office products supplier based in New Hope, Minnesota will invest $17 million into the construction of the new building. Safco, a division of Liberty Diversified Industries, started offering corrugated storage products for office use more than 40 years ago. Governor, Tim Kaine, cited the county's closeness to the Port of Virginia as an important factor in the decision... because it will improve delivery times in the region. Work is currently underway at the Shirley T. Holland Intermodal Park. Christie Miller, with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership told WVEC.com, that they hope to be in the building and operating by December 1.
